Dongwon Woolim Launches Plogging Campaign in Bukri Village and Muchangji Area
Dongwon Metal Co., Ltd. (hereinafter Dongwon Metal) conducted an environmental cleanup activity on Friday, September 26, 2025, in the vicinity of its Gyeongsan factory, specifically in Bukri Village and the Muchangji area. Approximately 20 employees participated.
This activity was part of Dongwon Metal's efforts to promote sustainable management and strengthen ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management. It was planned to fulfill the company's social responsibility of realizing social value for the greater public good.
Employees belonging to the Dongwon Woolim Volunteer Group focused on collecting household waste and maintaining the local environment around Buk-ri Village and Muchangji near the Gyeongsan Factory. Participants diligently collected waste abandoned along roadsides and near streams, contributing to improving the living environment for local residents and creating a pleasant environment around the factory.
Dongwon Metal consistently operates its quarterly ‘Plogging Campaign’ environmental cleanup activities centered around its Gyeongsan headquarters. This initiative achieves tangible environmental improvements in daily life while expanding opportunities for positive interaction and cooperation with local residents.
A Dongwon Metal representative stated, “We have continuously promoted environmental cleanup activities near our business sites to practice environmental protection. These activities play a crucial role beyond simple cleaning, strengthening bonds with the local community and raising environmental awareness among our employees.” They added, “Moving forward, we will continue to carry out systematic and sustainable environmental protection activities centered around the Dongwon Woolim Volunteer Corps, striving to be a reliable partner growing together with the local community.”
Meanwhile, Dongwon Metal, through the Dongwon Woolim Volunteer Corps established in July 2024, is conducting various social contribution activities beyond environmental cleanup, including volunteer work at welfare facilities and support for cultural and arts programs. It is practicing ESG management that systematically spreads positive influence and contributes practically to solving local community issues.
