Realizing Social Value through Harmony Programs with Local Disability Welfare Facilities

 

Dongwon Metal Co., Ltd. (hereinafter Dongwon Metal) conducted a ‘New Sports’ activity on Friday, June 20, 2025, at Gyeongsan Yeorae House. Approximately 15 employees from the Dongwon Woolim Volunteer Group and 10 facility users participated.

 

This activity was planned as part of Dongwon Metal's sustainable management initiatives and strengthened ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management, aiming to realize social value through expanded community engagement.

 

Gyeongsan Yeorae House is a residential facility for individuals with severe disabilities. It practices care that respects the dignity and autonomy of each individual user and strives to improve their quality of life through specialized programs encompassing daily living support, leisure activities, education, and independence support.

 

 

 

During the event, participants enjoyed time together through various New Sports activities, including dart-style New Sports and rolling balls into target holes. Dongwon Metal employees and facility residents actively participated in the games, sharing joyful laughter and applause. They spent a meaningful time relieving daily stress while experiencing a sense of small accomplishment.

 

A Dongwon Metal representative stated, “Since its founding in July 2024, the Dongwon Woolim Volunteer Corps has carried out various social contribution activities to spread warmth throughout the local community.” They added, “The name ‘Woolim’ carries the meaning of resonating with hearts and inspiring emotion.
